Vintage 1960/70 Military Black Mess Jacket - Size M

This military jacket, used for catering at social functions, is in black wool with a beige lapel. It is cropped at the waist and points downward at the front hem.

Details:

This jacket is in soft wool with a quilted silk lining in beige. There are 2 gold coloured metal buttons on each cuff, a gold and silver coloured pin badge on the lapel, with the text “army catering corp.” and 3 arrowed badges on the right arm. There is a hidden inside pocket with a label stating "tailored by Alkit, Cambridge Circus” and the name and date “Srg. A. Porter 23/03/70" written in pen.

Condition

In very good vintage condition, there is a hole where a badge was pinned on the lapel. There is some wear to the lining at the bottom.
