Yellow Silk Satin Vintage Stage Gown by Darnell of London - Size 6

This is a stunning 1980's Couture stage gown in a glorious buttercup yellow satin silk, encrusted with clear and golden brown crystals. It was designed by British costumier to stars such as Dusty Springfield and Shirley Bassey, Darnell of London. This piece, comprising of a dress and overskirt is truly exceptional and exquisitely made. Darnell of London was said to have used Swarovski crystals on his gowns; although I can not verify the make of these particular crystals, they are certainly of high quality.

Details

Dramatic quilted neckline that stands up at back and shoulders coming down to a V at the front.

Boned bustier, attached inside and fully lined. 

The whole dress is lined in yellow silk.

Condition

This item is in very good vintage condition; there are no significant stains or rips. One crystal is missing at the bottom back hem and there are some light dirt marks on the dress. There are a few small marks on the overskirt, including one small black pen mark. The dress and the overskirt would benefit from a dry clean.
